Rose Lake Golf Club
Welcome to Rose Lake Golf Club
About Us
Rose Lake Golf Club opened for play as a 9-hole course in 1957. It was originally named Lakeview Public Golf Course and was owned, constructed, and operated by Clarence Zufall. In 1967 the membership purchased, incorporated, and changed the name to Rose Lake Golf Club, Inc.
Additional land was purchased in 1985 for the purpose of expanding the course to 18 holes. Fairway Architects, Inc. designed the new course and incorporated several of the existing holes into the new layout. Joel Goldstrand and Ron Bloom provided the initial rough design in 1986 and Rose Lake opened for 18 hole play on July 11th, 1987.
Due to severe flooding in 1993, holes 3, 4, and 11 were redesigned to help minimize the potential for flooding in the future. The design and work for this project was done by Scott Drever, the course superintendent. Par 4 Shaping was brought in to provide the basic shape landscaping. This natural setting with a lake, two large ponds, and a stream makes for a most picturesque and challenging golf course for any caliber of golfer.
